I was only saying to myself the other evening how good the Lounge was to navigate round, follow threads, see a list of topics etc compared to some other forums I visit and then……. while I can understand the need to make the running of the Lounge as easy as possible for all concerned (I applaud the effort the change over must have taken and the reasons) but I just have this sinking feeling when things in general get changed and I have to go out of my comfort zone and begin figuring out new ways to do things, I just feel I’m getting old. No doubt I will get used to the new layout here in time.

AskWoody LoungerOctober 31, 2009 at 6:59 am #1183652I was thinking the very same thing when I logged on for the first time this morning but it is funny how I initially disliked the previous version at first but soon adapted.
There are a few name changes and regrouping of some of the forums from what I can see but some were being very under used so maybe it is a good thing.

Oh my yes, what a change…. I’m in a muddle but I expect I’ll find my way out of it eventually. I’ve enjoyed the Lounge for several years so I’m not about to let this new look stop me! But I do feel aged at the moment!
Where’s myThat will help!

I agree. When I first logged on this morning I thought -wow – this looks nice. Then reality set in. Many of the usability features of the previous software are radically changed or gone completely. It’s extremely difficult to distinguish a previously read thread from a new/updated one, threads in which I have participated are no longer identified as such, etc. Time will tell, I guess.

AskWoody_MVPNovember 1, 2009 at 9:07 am #1183807There are a lot things that did NOT come through in the conversion and the staff is working on getting them back.
I would keep listing things that you are missing as we all use things differently and my not see what is missing.
There are number post already at http://www.wopr.com/index.php?showforum=23 and I would make the above requests there. If you do not find one that relates to your missing item, then by all means make a new post.
