I’ve maintained an “offline” calendar with various past iterations of the desktop client since Outlook 98. Now I’m willing to take my “offline” calendar to the web, adding it to my HotmailOutlook.com calendar. However, it seems that the export formats available between the two are non-existent. Outlook 365 desktop can export to .csv and .pst files, while Outlook.com can only import .ics files. I would rather not have to manually recreate all my calendar items for Outlook.com, as it would be a tedious and time-consuming task. Is there any way I can get around the file incompatibility problem?

You are running Office 365, the latest version, is that it?

I am running Office 2013, which I believe to offer the same features as Office 365. You can get your calendar in .ics format if you open the calendar in Office 365, go to File menu, choose Save Calendar, and then click the More Options button and choose Whole Calendar, for the Date Range. The saved format is .ics.

Oh my, thank you. I didn’t realize that each separate “area” of Outlook (Mail, Calendar, People, and Tasks) had it’s own flavored File Menu. I guess I’m used to a more monolithic paradigm. Again, thank you…I’m also less confused now! LOL

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
