Disk cleanup has non-critical files used by Windows Defender that I could check in to delete.
Is it safe to delete them?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

After having noticed the option stated in my original post I exited from Disk Cleanup without cleaning out that option
I manually ran a scan and there weren’t any issues: shut down and started back up.
After reading your response I went back into Disk Cleanup to verify the exact wording and I was expecting to go ahead and delete it but the option mysteriously wasn’t there anymore.

I use a batch file to run my Disk Cleanup and you are right, there is an expanded list of Disk Cleanup items and that’s why I like doing it that way. I don’t recall seeing the option I mentioned before. Its description seemed to me it would have been ok to delete it right away. BTW when I did the manual scan I did an update first and maybe that was involved in how the non-critical files used by Windows Defender “mysteriously” fixed itself. Thanks for your responses.
