I can’t find Windows Photo Viewer on a new Win7-64 laptop. We have it on our Win7-32 laptops. Has it been removed/replaced with something else in the 64 bit version?

Photo Viewing is part of Windows explorer, irregardless of 32 of 64 bit based operating system.
      Do you mean Photo Gallery?

No, I mean “Windows Photo Viewer”, here it is on a W7-32 PC.

Windows Photo Viewer is available with 7 64 bits. I just tried it :).

Hmmm, this one has Windows live photo gallery I don’t want anything to do with “live”, but no photo viewer. It’s not on the windows feature list either. I’ll uninstall live (came on the PC) and see what happens.

No need to install anything, I have Live Photo Gallery and I can still access Photo Viewer. If you right click an image file and choose Open with… do you get the option to use Windows Photo Viewer or not?

No, Photo Viewer wasn’t a right click option, I also tried to associate jpg’s with it but it wasn’t an option there either. But I just uninstalled all windows live and now photo viewer is available and is the default for .jpg’s. Interesting…

I have Windows Live Movie Maker and Windows Live Photo Gallery, and Windows Photo Viewer has always been accessible.

It is strange, something in the options settings in the Lenovo W7 image I guess. Anyway, it’s a good outcome from my point of view. Thanks for the confirmation that it wasn’t discontinued or something, that was helpful.
