June .NET 4.8 update for Win 7 is only for Win 8.1 and won’t run in 7

It seems that the Master Patch List’s June update for .NET 4.8 for Windows 7 Pro 64-bit is NOT for Win 7 and is only for Win 8.1.

It’s the row on the Master Patch List for June updates that says

• Win 7/Server 2008 R2   —   5014808  —   6/14/2022   —   Optional  —  No new security included   —   Monthly rollup .NET

It wouldn’t run in my dotNetFx4_ESU_Installer_r  (dotNetFx4_ESU_Installer.cmd).

Or am I doing something wrong?

indeed the KB5014808 .NET update is for Windows 8.1 & Server 2012 R2 only, not for Windows 7 & Server 2008 R2.

the “correct” .NET update for Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 should be KB5014806, while the “correct” .NET update for Windows Server 2012 / Windows Embedded 8 Standard should be KB5014807

Note that those are the June .NET Framework updates, not July updates.
There were no July .Net Framework updates for Win7.
