I hope one of you Windows gurus can answer me a question which is bugging me. I am running Win 7×64 on my desktop and the June updates included KB3057839. Thanks to Patch Watch which I always wait for, Susan Bradley advised that the above update crippled Quicken 2015 though the problem could be solved by uninstalling the update. I installed the other updates and left this one unhidden hoping for a fix from Microsoft or Quicken. The update was still there the day before patch Tuesday this month but after downloading the July patches, KB3057839 had disappeared. It is not in my update history and has not reappeared and I can find nothing on the web. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Patch reliability is unclear, but widespread attacks make patching prudent. Go ahead and patch, but watch out for potential problems. |
