Unable to run Excel Add-ins after (KB5002653) latest patch – Microsoft Community

I used the Remove option in WSUS to set it back but this did not work for the Excel files impacted. I also did not find downloading and running this proposed fix worked:

    excel2016-kb4484305-fullfile-x64-glb

I also installed the December update KB5002660 in the hopes this superceding update would fix it, but so far the hyperlinks still do not work.

I am now thinking that maybe the update removal will only work going forward with new edits and additions – and that the current Excel files are corrupted and will need to be edited, repaired or replaced. So maybe the uninstall will fix it for future entries, but the current files may or may not be readily salvageable. He tells me it has been a while since his last backup, so I am trying to salvage his latest work.

Thanks for any help with this.

    Happy Holidays!

    Bruce
