This update has been downloaded but will not install.

I would like to delete the downloaded file, and HIDE it so it will not get reloaded.

Where are these downloaded files? ( I have somtimers and can not remember they are hiding)

This is on a “Dial” up connection getting 46k speed.

I’ve had this problem on a PC at work recently. I used the .NET uninstall tool available at Aaron Stebner’s WebLog : .NET Framework Cleanup Tool User’s Guide. If you need .NET 1.1 you can download and install Download details: .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package & Download details: .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. The patch should install then.

Joe, I just posted a fix for Net 2.0 and 3.5 in the Windows XP area, net 3.5 thread (Reply #10). Maybe you can combine that with yours here on 1.1 and make it a permanent post, because it seems these Net errors are becoming more frequent.

After I got it Hidden the file seems NOT to be there any longer there to be installed.
