When I shut down my computer at night and start it again the next morning the keyboard will not work.
I will then restart and it works. the driver shows to be current,I have tried unplugging it but it still dose the same thing.
anybody have any ideas? I am Completely baffled.

Does it work OK in a different USB port?

thanks for the advice but no go.
I have googled it but don’t see anything that looks like it pertains to me.
a lot of Bluetooth problems on upgrades but not much on USB.

Try going to Control Panel | Hardware and Sound | Power Options | System Settings and disable (uncheck) Turn on Fast Startup.

Do you think that it is a glitch in WIN10 that might be fixed are something with my older computer?

Sorry, but I don’t know for suure. Do you have the latest BIOS for your machine and the latest drivers for the keyboard & mouse?

I have not checked the BIOS but both windows and HP show I have the latest driver.
I will play around with it and if I find anything interesting I will let you know.
thank you very much for your help.
