According to MS’s list at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/keyboard-shortcuts-for-use-while-creating-a-presentation-in-powerpoint-2010-HP010336519.aspx, there’s no keyboard shortcut in PowerPoint 2010 for deleting a slide. I know the mouse method already, but I prefer to use a proper keyboard shortcut, if there is one.

I suppose you could use AutoHotkey for that.

Tried AutoHotKey back in 2010. Didn’t like it, uninstalled it. I guess PPT doesn’t have a native function for this. Sad.

I believe this workaround should still work:

One way of doing this is to right click on the ‘delete slide’ button contained in the Slides section of the Home ribbon and then choose ‘add to quick access toolbar’.
Once it’s been added, if you then press ‘ALT’, you will see a number associated with this delete slide button on that quick access toolbar and so the keyboard shortcut would become ALT-NUMBER.

Er, the Delete key isn’t working for you? Or is there another scenario that you are working in?
