Is there a way to quickly go to the next unread message in a mail folder?

I can do this in a newsreader (even OE for newsgroups), but haven’t found a way to accomplish this in Outlook. I have a folder where I’m essentially tracking conversations, but don’t like the group by conversation topic view, and I need to see both read and unread messages for a topic. So all I really need is to skip read messages and get to the next unread in plain old Messages view sorted by Subject.

Am I missing the obvious again?

    Thanks!

I sure can’t find one, I also can’t find a “Sort by Read/Unread” option. There are keyboard shortcuts for Read Next or Previous Item (whether Read or Unread), respectively Ctrl-> and Ctrl-<.

There is a built-in view for unread messages. View, Current View, Unread messages. Then Ctrl+>, Ctrl+< will take you to next/prior unread message.

Thanks, but that’s exactly the view I’m trying to avoid – I need to see the unread and read messages at the same time so I can see changes. These are not replies, but new messages on the same topic that I’m comparing.
