If the Large message rule is switched on, this is visible in the Rules wizard as a client-only rule which seems strange as it is all happening on the exchange server. However, my question is whether it is possible to see the size of the messages that are in the large message folder. I realise that any later syncchronisation will not be selective, but it would be nice to know.

    Thanks,

You can add most fields to the columns of any view. Right click on a column header and select Field Chooser. Size is available in the default list. Just drag it onto the column headings and you should be good to go.

Thanks, I didn’t explain myself very well. If I switch on large message rule and then work off-line and synchronise the in-box but not the large message folder, I get a dialogue which tells me that a message(s) is in the large message folder. but it doesn’t tell me the size. I don’t therefore know what I am unleashing if I then choose to synchronise the large message folder as well. It would be nice to see what the message size(s) are.

Better to use remote mail? but I cant see a way of doing that with an always-on broadband type connection – it seems to want to dial-up every time and I don’t know how to tell it to use the “existing connection” with remote mail
