I need assistance with a chart I have been asked to do. Basically, it is a form of the Line – Column chart on the “Custom Types” tab for Excel charts. I have attached an example of what I need to do. I am trying to show three types of data. First, there are Bookings, which I want in a bar. Second, I want Goal as a line, and Stretch goal as another line. But when I try to do a Line – Column graph, I can only manage to get one line on the graph, which right now is the Stretch data. They are all on the same axis, so I don’t need to do the two-axis chart.

Does anyone have any idea how this might be done?

Click once on the Goal series. All columns in this series will be highlighted.
      Select Chart | Chart Type…
      Select the Line Chart type.
Make sure that “Apply to selection” is ticked (this is the default setting)
      Click OK.

This way, you can set the chart type for each series separately.
