After adding a shape, I can change its behaviour to go to a certain page or customize a hyperlink to the shape. These are great, but I would like to know if an email address can be linked to a shape. IE: When I right-click on the shape it must provide an email link. When selected it should open Outlook with a new email msg assigned to that user.
Is this option possible by any customised method, as Visio cannot seem to do this by default.

I don’t have Visio, but the following works in most Office apps, so give it a try:
      – Select the shape.
      – Select Insert | Hyperlink.
      – In the Address box, type mailto: followed by the e-mail address, for example: mailto:billg@microsoft.com
      – Click OK.
