LINKS Buttons (IE 6)

Hi, all.
Doeso anyone know if or how I can set the order of the buttons on the Links toolbar? In my case, I’d like to have it display my folders that I created in the Links folder on the left, in a particular order, and then the direct links, again in an order that I want to assign. I’ve tried dragging things up and down via “Organize Favorites…” but that didn’t seem to do anything.

AFAIK, just drag them on the links bar itself. That is what I did. Unless I misunderstood your question.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post, but was the only “links button” post I found.

I do not have my links in alphabetical order, by choice. There is a feature when you right click on the Links folder under the Favorite menu where you can choose to “sort by name”. I have that unchecked. Every so often (and it seems randomly), the links resort themself into sort by name.

Any fix? Work around? Am I missing something? Thanks.

I never even realized that you could do the sort by name with a right click. I am a right clicking fool but never looked that far down. And yes, occasionally the order of links reset themselves alphabetically. It is a pain but really no big real. I think this is when there is a patch or something or somehow or another things get “cleared”. It usually happens concurrently with a loss of history, etc. I just redrag them back to where I want them on my links toolbar and chalk it up to gremlins.
