      Exactly what sort of meaningful data did you have in mind? If the combo box is bound to a column, then you don’t even need the listindex to find the current value of the combo box.

      The Text property of a CommandBarComboBox returns the text of the selected item. For a CommandBarComboBox object named ctl the following are equivalent:

      ctl.Text = ctl.List(ctl.ListIndex)
