Hello. (Access 2007)
I’ve given my query a description and changed the navigation pane to a details view.
However, it only shows the created and modified dates. Why isn’t Access showing my description?
Thanks, Andy.

Well, you learn something every day – apparently this was caused by SP2 of Office 2007, and there is a hotfix available that will restore them. I never use the “Details” view, as I work with database with 200 to 500 objects in each category, and scrolling up and down the Nav Pane is really tedious with that turned on. See Tony Toews blog for details on what happened. The hotfix info can be found at Microsoft Support. Let us know how you fare with the hotfix.
Hello again. Thank you for your response.
I’m going to leave as is – firstly because it’s on a company’s computer. Secondly, it’s very messy: the description appears under the dates and you can’t sort
by them (as you could in 2003 when they were listed in separate columns).
Ideally the description would appear as a ‘tip text’ as you point at an object, but Microsoft didn’t seek my advice!
Andy.
