    Hi,
Once upon a time I was referred to an internal windows program that ran from the RUN command. This brought up a utility that, among other things, had a tab that listed all programs that were begun at start up.

I know I’m not providing a lot to go on, but can anyone tell me what program this is?

    Thanks,
    Michael

      It sounds like msconfig.exe

For reasons which escape me, msconfig.exe can be found in WindowsPCHealthHelpCtrBinaries

As well as the one in that directory I also have a copy in C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32DLLCACHE

If you want something a little nicer than msconfig look at Autoruns from Sysinternals.

Many thanks to all. Msconfig was exactly what I meant,. The autoruns program is also interesting.

        Thanks,
