Mail Merge Fields (Outlook (2003))

I am attempting a Mail Merge from MS Word (2003) using an Outlook Contacts folder as my data source. When the ‘Choose Receipients’ dialog box appears I would like to filter the list by ‘Category’ but this field is not visible.

Anyone have a sugestion??

I seldom merge Outlook data, but… I have read in numerous past threads that if you initiate your merge from inside Outlook, you have many more choices for how to assemble your data set.

Just a guess, but Word originally understand contact data only through the limited perspective of an “Address Book.” Over time, Outlook has advanced, but Word’s “window” into Outlook does not seem to have been updated to keep pace.
