I am trying to make a graph of my heart BPM while sleeping. I created the data using a Bluetooth chest strap and an Android app called MyWorkouts.

There are two columns of data – a timestamp and my [mostly] sleeping heart rate.  I want to make a graph of BPM against time on the Y-axis.

I managed to graph the heart rate but don’t know what to do with the timestamp column (to format it with actual times on the Y-axis).

Any help appreciated.  File is attached.

      Hi

I have attached an updated file with your heart-rate BPM chart on a new sheet named [chart]

I assumed that the timestamp data was in seconds, so I just added a formula to turn this into a time value (by dividing by 86400 = number of seconds in a day; 86400 =24*60*60), and formatting that column as a timevalue.

      Interesting chart.

My heart started fibrillating a couple of weeks ago, running at 150BPM. Beta-blockers have now brought me back to screaming along at 50BPM.

Thanks! My resting BPM is around 50 but it is cool to see it getting down to 41 at night.  Ha, all that exercise and hiking helps!

I don’t know why it is so d*** hard to find an Android app that simply monitors heart beats and RR-values during sleep!  All kinds of swiss army apps (like this one I used) that might be re-purposed for that task but no one seems to have written a simple single function app.  And few apps are able to use a chest band.  Whew.
