Does anyone know how to make a rule for an email received from a sender not in contacts and who one doesn’t want to add to contacts?

Try “words in the sender’s address” (this refers to the actual address, i.e., username@domain.com).

I understand that but how do I pick up the specific sender’s name?

You lost me. You need to know the sender’s name/address in order to write the rule, and you click the specific words link to add that information to the rule.

(Note: the specific words link is in the lower box, hidden by the pop-up dialog.)

Does this mean I must cut & paste the senders email address into the dialogue box?

You should enter as much as you believe is necessary to avoid false negatives. In some cases, that means using the whole address. In other cases, just the username or just the domain will be enough. As for how you get it there, that’s up to you. The Organizer (at least in Outlook 2002) doesn’t handle this particular criterion, so I’m not aware of any shortcut to creating the rule by hand.

              Thanks for your kind help.
