Don’t forget that the Group Policy editor is only available in Pro version of windows.

For users of the much more common Win 8.1, there is a registry hack that will do the same thing as the gpedit checkbox that we don’t have. Google “disable lock screen in windows 8.1” and you will find it.

How can the users of regular win8.1 do this? I see this hint over and over online and each time, no mention is made of the lack of gpedit in the regular win8.1.
Doesn’t anyone do their research and check these hints before publishing them?
