AskWoody MVPOctober 21, 2024 at 10:37 am #2711727by the way, if you’re thinking ‘gosh that’s a lot of PowerToys, it’s hard to find them in the interface’, there’s a proposal to organise them into groups – which almost but not quite match the way I’m splitting them up for this series!

AskWoody PlusOctober 21, 2024 at 2:31 pm #2711817My question, too! I admit I only scanned the first couple screens, gave up, and didn’t read the entire article. Otherwise, a well written article and sounds like a good utility.

AskWoody PlusOctober 21, 2024 at 10:41 pm #2711869It seems PowerToys has been considerably updated since last I tried it. Back then, it was an “all or nothing” install. I see on the github page that some tools apparently can be “disabled”. Can one choose which tools to install or is it still an all or nothing install? Also, does it still support Win10 and will that support cease when Win10 EOL arrives in 2025? Curious…
Win10 Pro x64 22H2, Win10 Home 22H2, Linux Mint + a cat with 'tortitude'.

AskWoody MVPOctober 22, 2024 at 7:58 am #2711938You install all the tools but get to choose which you have active. According to GitHub – microsoft/PowerToys: Windows system utilities to maximize productivity – ”
- Windows 11 or Windows 10 version 2004 (code name 20H1 / build number 19041) or newer.”
There is no reason to think that the current releases will stop working. Keep an eye on the page above for changes to OS requirements.
