I am helping a fellow whose system crashed – he had a MEDEA External Storage unit that connects to the computer with a SCSI card. It has a 160 GB storage capacity. I have been able to install the SCSI card in an old system of mine and am backing up his data to a flash drive as I keyboard this question. What kind of “storage drive” is in this unit? Is it an IDE drive? Or is it some kind of special storage drive? This is about 6-7 years old. Thanks.

I have never heard of this device, but if it connects to a SCSI card then presumably it is a SCSI drive, not IDE.
