Hello,

The attached scrn. shot shows XP’s prompt with the option to “Copy Music from CD”

This encodes the audios into digital format & saves them to the Media Player’s Library.

My Q. is: what is the default filepath for this on the PC?

I believe it’s the path to My Music, which was introduced with XP as a system folder of sorts.

You should be able to locate and/or change the folder if you want:
Open Windows Media Player …
Tools > Options > Copy Music …
