I’m frustrated…I hope someone can help.

I have a form and underlying table. One of the fields in the table is a Memo field. However, try as I might, I cannot get that field on the form to accept more than 255 characters. I’ve check every setting I can find to no avail. I’ve look at other databases with Memo fields and the accompanying form allows entry of, and the table accepts, more than 255 characters. Can anyone help?

Make sure you don’t have any formatting specified for the memo field. This immediately converts it to a text field.

I guess you need to think of formatting as a function that returns a text string. So no matter what you supply it, you get a text string (limited to 255 characters) returned.
