I am writing on behalf of a co-worker who is trying to create a mail merge that takes names and birthdates from an Excel spreadsheet and then puts each one on a different page of a Publisher document. (Each page has a different styling, which is why she wants to merge to separate pages). Does anyone know if this can be done? Thanks. Penni

Publisher has fewer options for mail merge than Word. It doesn’t have a ‘Next Record’ field, so your co-worker will need to place as many names/birthdays in one row (record) of the worksheet as there are pages in the Publisher document. For example, if the document has three pages, the worksheet would look like this:

      A B C D E F
      1 Name1 Birthday1 Name2 Birthday2 Name3 Birthday3
2 Mary January 14 John February 2 Anne February 27
3 Bill March 1 Carla March 12 Jim April 4

Thanks so much. She is not going to be thrilled, but at least now we know. You’re awesome (as usual)! Penni
