Have built a “Helpdesk” app.
When a user enters a new “ticket” it would be nice for a “New Helpdesk Ticket” message to pop up on the desktop so I don’t need to check the app every half hour.
After Update event?
Possible?

I have a “Database Change Request Database” (i.e. a database for people to ask for changes to my databases ) – in that I get the database to send me an Outlook message with the details of the request. In the same database I store my replies, and the database automatically sends an Outlook message to the requestor. You could do something similar.

If you really want to do it without using anything other than Access, I’d use a Timer event on the main form that the helpdesk has open to check every x seconds for new “ticket” records.
