    Hi,

Is anyway to add the reminder of message flag to my calendar? I would like to have a window pops up to remind me I have an email need to follow up instead of checking “For Follow Up” folder. I always forgot to check the “For Follow Up” folder.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

Right click and select “Add reminder”.

Are the “Follow Up” Flags attached to messages? You can’t show message flags in the Calendar window, but you can sort or group your inbox messages (or any other message folder) by the flag status:

To sort by flag status, click on the flag icon (the rightmost icon in the default view).
To Group By flag status, right-click on the flag icon in the message list window field header, and select Group-by. You can continue to leave them grouped without the box by right-clicking the box and then clicking the highlighted “Group By Box”, or ungroup them on the same right click menu.

Post back if this isn’t what you mean.

        Thank all for the replies.

Actually I send a email to some user and if user don’t get back to me within next 3 days. I am going to close the case. Therefore, I am looking for to setup reminder to myself to follow up the email that I send. I tried to set Message Flag on the email before I send, but that’s the reminder to the receiver not to me. So is anyway for me to set a reminder to sender?

        Thanks in advance.

        Regards

As I said, right click the e-mail and select “Add reminder”. Or try flagging it when you create it and put a due date in the flag dialog.

If Joe’s advice doesn’t seem to work, try sending a copy to yourself, so the reminder fires for you. You may need to keep the message in your Inbox for the Reminder to fire.

If that doesn’t suit, you might be better off sending these requests as assigned/delegated Tasks. If I remember correctly, reminders will fire for both you and the delegate.

Thanks John. But how can I sending these requests as assigned/delegated Tasks?

            Regards,

Create the Task, set the Due date and Reminder Date and Time, click the Assign button, and send it to the assignee. I haven’t used the feature much, test it with someone.
