Several users here are having a similar problem. They open Outlook and all their message are in the inbox. Then, after awhile of working, they go back to Outlook and they can only see emails from the past few days. For example, one user has 82 items in the root of her inbox dating back to 8/21/02 (she also has about ten subfolders with an unknown number of emails). She opens Outlook and works successfully for a few minutes, then after awhile she notices that her mail does not date back past 3/24/03. Also, at one point she opened her outlook and got reminders for dozens of events that happened in 1999. Any ideas???

Maybe scanpst.exe, the Inbox repair tool, should be run? Lots of backups, we hope?

Would any of these users have selected View, Current View, Unread Items, or have an equivalent Filter set? (I’m at a loss to explain the burst of old reminders unless they were corrupt or her system clock was running berserk; you might try the startup switches /CleanReminders and /CleanFreeBusy on that machine. For that matter you might try the startup switch /CleanViews on all of these users.)
