      Woody,

      Don’t know if your monitoring the forum but I wanted to give you a heads up. I have confirmed (on my own machine at least) that the DOS/Alureon.J detection is caused by the MSE 4.6.305 Antimalware Client (contained in the September Windows updates). An uninstall of MSE followed by reinstall of the pre-Sep. update version (4.5.216.0) and subsequent update to the latest antivirus/antispyware definitions (1.185.2740.0) eliminates the detection.

      @Brent

      I saw that. And I’m wondering what happens when your machine updates to MSE 4.6.305. Any idea?

      Had several definition Updates on MSE that have solved the Trojan:DOS/Alureon.J problem on my HP laptop with Windows7. The Updates (KB2310138) were 1.185.3638.0, 3646.0 and 3716.0.
