I have windows 7, and i have the updates so when i need to get an update, i get a notification on the right bottom of my screen( where the clock is) , which has been fine, starting yesterday, the 6th im getting notifications to make updates to my Microsoft security essentials, like the updates that i normally do a few times a day, while i appreciate it notifying me, it never has until 48 hours ago, anyone know why it is all of a sudden? after i click on the MSE program, updated and it downloads, the ‘new update’ icon go’s away, but whys it doing it at all? hope im not the only one.

As long as MSE is updating, that’s the main thing and wouldn’t worry too much.

Might be an idea to run a full system scan when you know you won’t be using the PC and let us know how it went.
