I’m the happy owner of a new laptop and have migrated most of my files over to it from my old laptop, including my Outlook.pst file (along with ancillary Outlook files in the same folder). However, try as I might, I can’t figure out where Outlook stores the e-mail account information. If I only had one or two accounts, I’d just recreate them all quickly and let it go, but there are more than a dozen. That info must be stored in a file somewhere. Can somebody tell me which file and where it’s hiding? Thanks in advance!

I think you’re only dealing with the registry for this data. A quick review of its contents didn’t make me confident that it would be an easy swap.

So long as your accounts are only limited to a few dozen, I’d suggest the long way may be the quick way.

For full details of Outlook files and where they are stored see Slipstick. As Andrew said account details are stored in the registry and can not easily be transferred.
Housekeeping and Message Management Tools for Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server includes some third party tools that can be used to backup/copy account information but theses are not free.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
