When I make a small change to a css file in a Web, FrontPage cashes as soon and I try and save the change. I get an error message, “C++ runtime error, abnormal program termination”. Then, “the instruction at “0x67fab0″ reference memory at (a memory address) could not be read” FrontPage then closes. I am running Windows XP Pro.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 28, 2003 at 12:33 pm #664688Correct I can modify htm files, publish, and do everything else normally. All other Office and other programs are working normally. Today after rebooting the computer, when I tried to modify this CSS file and save it, immediately after clicking on the save icon instead of the runtime error message I got the message that FP had encountered a problem and would shut down. I then got the option to send an error report to Microsoft, which I did. This was the first time that the MS error reporting option has appeared. There was no feed back from MS suggesting what the problem might be as sometimes happens with these error reports.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 28, 2003 at 8:53 pm #664841I have given up on my FP CD. I have tried cleaning it and both my CD drives cannot read the disk. The drives see the disk but I get nothing when I try to open it. I am prepared now to buy the FP XP (2002) upgrade. I should be able to install the upgrade edition on my HD, but if I ever have to install in on a new HD I will not have a good FP 2000 CD to verify I am qualified for the upgrade edition. Will Microsoft replace damaged CD’s?
