    Several of you have written, pointing to an article by Brian Krebs in the Washington Post, adding yet more fuel to the pyre that is known as the .NET

      Actually, that patch isn’t just a security update. It is an entire add-on to Windows, and even MS treat it as such.

      Was able to follow Brad’s advice and remove the patch. Thanks for watching out for the little guy Woody.

      I have .NET Framework 3.5 which I accidentally installed a couple of months ago. I get no further patches for .NET Framework offered at MS Updates. I use Firefox 3.0.x, and have not had any mysterious new add-ons show up recently. So what am I doing right?
