Moving Comments Boxes

Hi,

I have a Spreadsheet with a number of comment boxes that I need to stay in the location that they have been left in. It seems that every now and then the position and size of the comments reset back to a standard (where the comment sits to the immediate right of the cell where the comment has been placed) and covers up some of my data.

Is there a way that these can be set to stay where they are and stop jumping about?

I am not sure this is the problem, but when Visible comments can be relocated and they should remain there unless moved/reset. But if moved when visible, if a comment is made not visible, when it “pops up” it is the default location, not the relocated position.

PS. If you copy a cell with a visible comment, it also resets the location, moving it keeps the distance relative.

Re-sizing cells can also upset positions.

Is there no way that the location of the comments boxes can be ‘locked’ – or would I be better to use text boxes that should stay where they have been placed?

You need to control the cells where the comment is shown, not the comment.
