I’m hoping someone can help me as I’ve exhausted all avenues looking online for an answer.

I currently use Word to create documents at work (simple property sale particulars) but recently, in the last month of so, I’ve not been able to freely move photos around the page – I have always used wrap text, in front of text which worked perfectly until recenlty.

But now the photos get stuck or move too much and I can’t be precise.  The only work around I’ve found is if I zoom out of the document to 50% or less, the photos then move freely but I can’t see what I’m doing.

Does anyone have a solution to this?  Our IT department are stumped.

It’s not just my computer either – I’ve tried on several colleagues’ pcs.

    Many thanks

    Natalie

In Windows 10, what version of MS Office/Word are you using? A perpetual version, Office C2R, Office 365, etc?

      Natalie,

Could you possibly post a test document that we could play with?

      Try these:

      • Check that picture is not locked by anchor.
      • Check that layout is not set in word that locks the position
      • Select the photo. Press and hold CTRL and than press arrow key (up, down, left, and right)
      • If none of those works, than it is a rare word bug that was around since Office 95 that MS has not fixed even thought I reported it to them
      • Another option is to use Open Office, which is free and 10x better than MS Word.
