NB If this is in the wrong section please move it! As a matter of interest I just downloaded a video discussion from You Tube in 6 parts [to convert & burn to disc for a friend without a computer] and note that 4 segments are in VLC .flv format whereas the other two are in MPEG – Movie. Is this (a Usual; & (b Simply because the producer/s maybe changed the format for some reason and when I convert them with “ConvertXtoDVD” will it cope with the diversity in one go? Regards Dave.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerSeptember 24, 2009 at 5:52 pm #1178610YouTube clips are usually in Flash format (.flv) as far as I know. Are you sure you downloaded all 6 from YouTube?
Yep Hans….all six were downloaded simultaneously form You Tube, maybe you can investigate from these URL’s. The first one is of the number 1 clip & the second is of the number 3 clip. It will be seen from this other screen shot that only 4 of the 12 clips are different. Number ! clip
Number 3 clipHope they are entered correct. Kind regards again Dave.

AskWoody LoungerSeptember 25, 2009 at 6:44 pm #1178751Thanks gents….. I will attempt to convert them all and let you know what the result is…. Thanks Dave.
…….. I tried to add the files to be converted by clicking the white cross in the green circle then the name of the folder with the files in but a message popped up saying some files that were incompatible, so I aborted the process. I then tried the alternative method of dragging & dropping the files into the tree view box and no error message popped up so I continued the convert process which went as usual. SO; I am still baffled as to why 8 of the 12 files are in MPEG-4 Movie format when the other 4 are in .flv. HANS, did you download the two files I listed in the 3rd post to verify that ALL videos on You Tube are in fact NOT in .flv format as you believed? Thanks Dave.

No, I didn’t download them because I don’t have any software to download YouTube videos. The right-click menu for each of them mentioned Adobe Flash Player 10, so I assumed they were Flash movies.
