How do I remove the date that automatically shows up next to a milestone in MS Project 2010. I haven’t used this program much, and I’m just lost. Thanks!

AskWoody PlusSeptember 3, 2013 at 5:32 am #1409982Select the milestone in the TaskName column (Task tab selected on the ribbon): Then click on Information in the ribbon to pull up the Task Information view. Under dates, delete the dates in the Start: and Finish: fields. click OK The date will no-longer be visible next to the milestone. (Although, I must add that the purpose of a milestone is to know whether or not the milestone has been reached (or will be reached) on the desire4d day(date), so I always want the date to be visible. I hope this helps?
(You can also double-click the milestone to view the Task Information window for that milestone: Then the same applies: Select and delete the start and finish dates and click on OK)
(You can also do this by right-clicking in the start and finish cells of the respective columns for the milestone and selecting “clear contents”)
