I have a multi boot set up – both using windows 2000, Office 2000. One is my test bed setup (eg has programs I’d like to test but am concerned about corrupting normal set up) and the other is my normal useage.
The frustration is that I always seem to be on the wrong “machine” for email usage. eg I received the email yesterday on production machine but want to get to it today while on test bed machine.
At present this means I need to continually restart to get to appropriate machine.
Is there any way I can have Outlook have a common PST file irrespective of which machine I am on
    Hope this makes sense
    Steve

Do they share a common drive, so that you could point both copies of Outlook 2000 to the same file?

the copies of outlook are on different drives but there are common drives accessible that I could store the file on

I think that would do it. You’ll have to amend or rebuild the profiles in each “machine” after you move the file (Outlook usually gives an error and asks, “Okay, where is it…”), but after that you should see the same Inbox, etc.
