The Outlook Rules manager has been abysmally complex since forever and I’ve not used it. In Outlook 2019 it’s still unusable. Auto-Mate used to be pretty good. But support for problems is slow, as with right now on a new installation of their latest software. Who, please, has a favorite Outlook rules add-in for Outlook 2019? Thank you.

Have you looked in the MS Store for 5-star rated options for managing rules?
Kirsty, thank you. I’ve generally steered past the MS store, unless the app(s) carried there are from ginormous companies with good support , e.g. Slack or Spotify. So far I’ve found that many of the apps in the Windows store seem to have less stringent quality controls than I’d prefer. When I looked using “Outlook rules” in the store I didn’t find anything worth trying.

An update about my experience with Auto-Mate 11.x: After testing it and corresponding with the program’s owner, Pergenex, I plan to continue using it long-term. Although Auto-Mate 11.x has what I deem to be a bug in its rules processing which necessitates checking a box to process all of its rules each time you send and receive, the program has shown to be reliable for filing e-mails. And it’s vastly less complex that Outlook’s own, abysmally difficult rules manager, and that makes Auto-Mate comparatively easy to use.
