I have a windows 10 machine that I shouldn’t have messed with. I’ve always used my MS account, but I decided I wanted to add a Local account just to see how it acted. Well, instead of adding a new account, I inadvertently changed my MS account to a local account. When I realized what had happened, I tried to go back to my MS account. In order to change my new local account back to the MS account like it was previously, it asks for my username and password. The password is the problem here. It rejects my password as incorrect. I’m pretty certain that it is one of the two possibilities which I tried. But both passwords are rejected. I really hate to change the password just to get into this old machine. I have 3 other computers which use the same MS account. They all use windows Hello with either a pin or facial recognition.
Question: how can I access my MS account on that computer without changing my MS account password? Is there some way to access my password from one of the other computers, or by using my MS authenticator app?
