    41197-Example-241197-Example-2

I have created a .dotm template which this document is based off of. This document was created on a computer with Hebrew and English installed on them – Hebrew is set as the primary editing language on a laptop with MS Word 2007 and 2010.

As you can see the TOC is pulling from right to left, it’s backwards, does anyone know why this is happening and do they know how to fix it?

    Thanks,
    Danielle

The fix is quite easy: simply select the entire TOC then click on the left-to-right paragraph arrow (i.e. with the ►¶ symbol) on the Paragraph panel of the Ribbon’s Home tab.

Hi, I had a previous issue where a coworker in Israel was looking at a document in word and their TOC was backwards. The fix provided to use the directional arrows to change the text direction from left to right worked, however, the leader dots on some of the sections are not populating even though the TOC styles have leader dots. The sections in the TOC are also not fully justified, even though the style of the TOC styles is to be fully justified.

I installed the Hebrew language keyboard and was not able to recreate this. Does it have to do with the display text being set to Hebrew?

      Thank yoU!

In the document attached to your previous post, there is a left-aligned tab-stop at 8.91cm, with no dot-leader. Delete that and the number will right-align, with the dot leader.

Beyond that, without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issues. If you need more help. please attach a document to a post with some representative headings. Although you attached a document to your previous post, there were no headings in it, so updating the TOC simply displays an error message.

Sometimes when you create a list you could have disproportional spaces between list numbers and text, which version of Microsoft Word are you using? Some early versions had this problem.

Without an example hard to diagnose what’s going on, attach a .doc or docx not just a dotm, dotx.
