Microsoft released a new admx group policy file with the latest Windows 10 options including version 1803.
I installed the new files on a DC last Friday. Yeah I know, shouldn’t be doing that on a Friday. Anyway ever since I did that I had been receiving 2 error messages display on screen whenever I went to edit a group policy. Of course I should have expected that with the way things are now. The error messages are related to old admx reference files and doesn’t affect the workings of gpedit. These are easily corrected with a couple of edits of a couple files.
The first error is described in this link.

I did not need to reset permissions or take ownership to modify the files as is mentioned in the article. I was logged in as a domain admin at the time.
The second error is fixed by editing the adml file mentioned in this link.
Thanks to those links my group policy editor is working normally with no error messages.
