New Mail Notifier

I use Outlook 2013 and the biggest gripe I have with it is that the new mail notifier at best can only be called useless. Ok, I hacked the registry to get the notifications to display longer than 30 seconds but there is no provision to delete unwanted mail from it. Clicking on the notification sometimes opens the new mail and sometimes dosnt. I cannot open my inbox from the notificatifcation.

Anyone got any recommendations for a good notifier that allows me to delete unwanted em ail from the notifier and will open my inbox when clicked.

If you access your Gmail using POP in OL 2013 & your browser is Firefox, you could add this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xnotifier/?src=ss
It’s very easy to set & use.

Sadly I dumped FF in favour of Chrome 6 months ago. I use Outlook 2013 to open my mail so was looking for a working notifier that will popup on my desktop without me having to open a browser window. But thanks for looking.

Hi Alan,
You can get reminders as your using Chrome but I have never used Chrome.
Go to your Gmail > Settings > General tab and:-
