I’m having a problem with NEWSGROUPS in Outlook Express 6.0. The newsgroup I subscribe to (phl.transportation) shows that numerous unread messages are available after synchronization but only one shows in the message list window.

FYI, I’m using IE7 with Windows XP.

I have been using Outlook Express 6 with IE 7 for some time with out any problems.
Can you give us a link or the information needed to get to this Newsgroup?

        Thanks for the prompt reply…
phl.transportation is showing 106 unread messages but displaying only one. I tried to ‘Catch up’ and that resulted in the removal of the unread message indication, but that returned once I synchronized the newsgroup.
This may have started when I was upgraded to IE7. Is that a possibility?

Try “unsubscribing” and then resubscribe, this should then allow you to download ALL files again.

As for upgrade to IE7, I have NOT run into the problem.

Have you check to see what settings are set when you right click the newsgroup and then “Synchronization settings”?

DID you look to see if the settings have been changed?
Remember that changes can be made by some third party software installs.

Also if you would give us the information needed to access this newsgroup, we could check to see if it happens to us!
