This month, I never received a CU for .NET. According to the Master Patch List here, I should have gotten KB5046542, which was approved by Susan. It never appeared in wushowhide on Patch Tuesday or since. Should I be concerned and if so, what should I do? Try to download it from the Windows Catalog? Never had this happen before!

    Thanks,

    D. Eager

Maybe you don’t have the correct version of .NET?
Maybe you already have the update – it is originally from early November.

There were NO .NET updates for December 2024.

Paul T is correct, I show 11-13 Install of KB5046542 … AND … I Only got ONE ITEM TOTAL in Dec, the CU.

        That is correct.

Duh and duh again. You’re all correct. I didn’t notice the issue date on the December Master Patch List and I didn’t notice that the KB number was the same as the one I installed last month. Sorry for the needless post.

      Thanks to all anyway!

That’s the November update. I just left that in there in case anyone didn’t install it last month.

Windows threw a CU .NET framework 8.0.11  (KB5045934) at me on Dec 8 and one of my process monitors (CPU Temp) stopped giving readings.   If that update is the culprit, can it be rolled back or just plain uninstalled?   I’ve never messed with dumping NET Framework updates.

At the time I installed it, I was running 6.0.31. Still shows installed under Programs.

Check your app for .NET dependency / updates, but leave the update installed.

      Problem caused by operator misunderstanding.
