It appears that you can have up to 1,000 items, but Is there a way of increasing this?

This is more of a curiosity than anything else. If I need something that isn’t listed then I just use the “custom” option.

I don’t understand WHY you would want to.
Personally, I hate to scroll through a list of even 50 items let alone 1,000!

It would be better to have groups and subgroups to filter. 20 groups each with 20 subgroups each with 20 subsub groups yields 8,000 entries but it is easier to go through the 3 lists of 20 than to go through 1 list of 8,000!

You also have the custom list pinpoint.
