Recently upgraded to Win11 and had issues with sleep on my UNO XP VM. I was in the process of updating my thread since I resolved my UNO issue as well by increasing the VM processor count to 2, but site Wordfenced me. Oh well.

AskWoody PlusJune 4, 2024 at 1:03 pm #2677950I suspect so. Just started the thread to share my journey into Win11. At least, it’s now as good as Win10 was for my purpose. Still can’t get use to the centered toolbar. lolololol
Like a lot of what I’m experiencing in 11 so far. I delayed until now because even 10 had foibles the first 2 years (and had to rebuild my whole OS losing my Photoshop license since I didn’t back it up to site and didn’t bother trying to negotiate with Adobe; lol; GIMPer anyway). Now that I only have a bit over a year to bite the bullet, I figured better now than later. My old PC cannot even be upgraded, sadly. Might go Linux with that box once the end date happens.

AskWoody PlusJune 4, 2024 at 11:16 pm #2678032Yup; you found it. lol
Not going to try to update that thread. I suppose it stands on it’s own. Only thing I wanted to add was got the VM to finally run right by changing the number of processors from 1 to 2 (not sure why 1 was fine in Win10). Now that VM works flawlessly. XP doesn’t natively recognize 2 processors without going through hoops, so not sure why chosing 2 processors fixed the VM. It is what it is.
