Anybody care to hazard a guess on a build number for the “final” build of Win10 Creators Update? I noted in an earlier blog post that I didn’t think M

AskWoody MVPMarch 13, 2017 at 5:42 pm #100945Note: ‘Thorsday’ is no spelling error. Microsoft don’t do ‘U’ turns, only a full circle of telemetry, additional advertising, botched patches and more useless apps which are increasingly difficult to remove.
History: Thursday is named after Thor, the hammer-wielding Norse god of thunder. – Thor is represented riding a chariot drawn by goats and wielding the hammer. Thunder will be heard during the upgrade procedure.

AskWoody_MVPMarch 13, 2017 at 2:44 pm #100929Related to the subject, Microsoft has been busy doing Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 updates cleanup behind the scenes.
I can see a total of 69 expired updates for Windows 10, Windows 10 1511, Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 4 & 5, Flash Player for Windows 10, various versions.abbodi86

AskWoody_MVPMarch 14, 2017 at 12:01 pm #101107The for jumping build numbers to be special is over
any build proved to be “stable” is picked as finalExcellent use of quotes.
Regarding what’s over… We shall see. Last time they jumped something like 4000 builds not long before release, because of mobile or something.
“Break it” thinking would have Microsoft changing the way they work every time. Maybe this time it’ll be letters. Or have another suffix.
They’re just having fun with it to see if they can make a few more sales. Putting understandable version numbers on it simply doesn’t create as much buzz.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 14, 2017 at 2:38 am #101002For obvious reasons, the release date should be 1st of April :).

AskWoody_MVPMarch 14, 2017 at 6:23 pm #101239WHAT? April 1? come on people, you’re better than this!
I’m 100% sure that the Creators update WILL NOT be released on April Fools day.at least abbodi86 & Microfix are making a reasonable guess like April 6 (which is a Thursday).
I might go with dates like April 4 (1st Tuesday), April 13 (2nd Thursday) or perhaps April 18 (3rd Tuesday). The 3rd option (4/18) is when Mozilla releases Firefox 53 and that version will officially end support for Windows XP & Windows Vista.-
